Hall on June 1st. Pythian Memorial services were conducted on Thursday, June 4th. The Charter was draped for thirty days in his memory. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his son Brother Doug Hall, his Sister - Sister Roberta Disbro and her husband Brother Bob Disbro and to the entire Hall Family. May the peace of God be with you all at this time of loss. Al Hilal #33, DOKK announces with great sadness the passing of Votary Vincent L. Norris on June 7th. Pythian Memorial services were conducted on June 10th. The charter of the Temple was draped for 30 days in his memory. Our most heartfelt sympathy is extended to Brother Vinnie's family. May God's peace be with them at this time.
Knight News – The 6th Annual Volunteer of the Year was held on June 7th with Brother JERRY WEILENMAN receiving the honor. Several members of his family were also present to help celebrate the evening and make it special. Brother Jerry works VERY hard for the lodge and it was an honor that was well deserved! CONGRATULATIONS!!....Crescens Lodge was proud to host a Three Rank Day on June 14th in honor of then Grand Chancellor James Smith, Jr with three new Knights taking the Ranks of Knighthood. Thanks for all who attended to make this a VERY successful day!...Crescens Lodge just completed it's 33rd Fireworks stand with another year of great success. Thanks to all who volunteered their time to make it go! If you wish a complete financial report on the stand, come to lodge and we will be happy to convey it to you. Or you can make your request in writing or by e-mail and we will send it to you. Crescens Lodge and Brotherhood Lodge will be conducting a "Friendship Night" on July 28th in conjunction with the Brotherhood #3-5-7 meeting. Invite any non members to come and BRING THEM ALONG to get them acquainted! Let's all invite someone to come! We have a pitch-in at 6 pm followed by a program at 7pm.….. Crescens Lodge meets Tuesdays at 7:00 pm. Attendance is booming! Have you been to lodge lately? How about this week! Don’t forget those dues! It only costs 6 cents a day to be a Pythian. What a deal! That way, when we have a death notice or something that we need to get out quickly, we can contact you right away. This will be VERY helpful in keeping in contact with you on a timely basis. Sister sass - Just a reminder that all of our by-laws changes passed at our meeting on June 24th. Our new meeting time is 7:00 pm…EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!! Don't forget our ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC at the North Shelter in Memorial Park THIS COMING Wednesday, July 22nd at 6:00 pm. Bring a well filled basket & table service! FUN!! THIS WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF THE JULY MEETING!! Dokey Dope - Al Hilal Temple #33's next meeting is in New Castle on July 20TH. PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE!! This will be our final practice for the Ceremonial at the Imperial Palace Convention. We need everyone that is going to be a part of the Ritualistic Team to be in attendance! We are busy making plans to make sure that the 2009 Imperial Palace Convention is successful as it will be happening at the Holiday Inn at the Pyramids in Indianapolis.. It will only happen with a UNIFIED effort. We will be having a TON OF FUN!!! On Sunday morning, August 9th at 9:00 am there will be a fun outing to the Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway Museum and Gift Shop. Admission is only $3.00! We will be touring the museum and gift shop and then go to the Pit Stop Restaurant for an early lunch at 11:00 am. Following lunch, we will head back to the motel to prepare for the 2:00 pm joint opening. We will be going to the Indianapolis Indians Baseball game on Monday, August 10th at 7:00 pm with tickets costs at $11.00. Transportation from the motel is first come, first served and will leave the motel at 5:00 pm. RESERVATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY July 25TH.
