The Crescens Crusader A publication of Crescens Lodge #33, Knights of Pythias “The First INTERNATIONAL Honor lodge!” Serving New Castle, Indiana since 1872 in the name of “Friendship, Charity and Benevolence” Vol 34 No. 2 October, 2011 ********************************************************************************************************** In memoriam Since our last publication in late April, the Pythian Sisters have been stricken by death as Past Chief Wilma Ashby of Venus Temple #50 passed away on May 16th with a large group coming to her service in respect. Frankton Temple #264 was deeply saddened at the passing of Past Supreme Representative Sandra Mitchell on June 17th. Many Pythians from all over Indiana gathered for Sandy's memorial service to show our love for her and the family. May God strengthen all of these families and the loved ones and friends that have been left behind.

For those of you that took part…be PROUD of your selves!!! Over 5.5 MILLION boxes were collected in the United States and over 8.8 MILLION boxes were distributed in over 130 countries around the world!! WOW!! I don't know about you…but that just gave me goose bumps to be a part of that great calling from God!!!! If you weren't a part of it in 2010, we are already planning to make a BIG splash for 2011!!! Look for the information coming soon! GRAND CHANCELLOR/GRAND Chief's project - prepare now! - Grand Chancellor Steven Breedlove and his sister Grand Chief Stephanie McKee have chosen Peyton Manning Children's Hospital as their project during their term. They will be taken to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital on behalf of the Knights and Sisters and all Pythians. What an AWESOME cause!! Let us all back our Grand Chancellor and Grand Chief and fill Santa sleigh on November 19th. We are going to be privileged to have Supreme Chancellor Edwin Wright and his lovely lady PGC Joyce in attendance! We hope you will be there for our after parade dinner to meet and greet them.
