Just to let you know . . . my Mom, Fern Dillon,
passed away peacefully this morning, August 13
at about 7:30 AM EDT, after a four month battle
with both an
autoimmune disease (ITP) and pneumonia,
complicated by acute dementia .
Mom is a Past Grand Chief of the
Pythian Sisters, Domain of
Tennessee, and a member of Volunteer
Temple #1, same Domain. She is wife of Floyd
Dillon, KGS, Past Supreme Representative
and Past Deputy Supreme Chancellor, Domain of
Tennessee, as well as dual member of Crescent
Lodge #169, Domain of Tennessee and
Amity Lodge #8, Domain of Nevada; she is
the beloved mother of
John Dillon, Deputy Grand Chancellor,
Domain of Nevada, and Secretary of Amity Lodge
#8, Reno, Domain of
Nevada.
Funeral services are to be held at Lane
Funeral Home,
601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN (423-877-3524)
Tuesday, August 17 at 1:00 PM EDT. For those
who can attend, visitation will be held on
Monday August 16 at 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
Mom was the best of the best, a
wonderful example of love, friendship,
forgiveness, and all of the attributes that make
the
Knights of Pythias the great order that
it is. In her example to others, she made all
of us better than we actually are. She will be
greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!
Fraternally Yours,
John Dillon, DGC
Secretary, Amity Lodge #8
