Canada - International Lodge #61 reports the passing of Brother George Taylor on June 17th.  This news was taken off the e-mail lodge minutes.  Our condolences to his family.  He was a member of International Lodge #61 in the Maritime Domain, St Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada.

Past Supreme Representative Arthur "Art" Mestel went home to the Supreme Ruler of the Universe on May 31st.  Services will be held on Monday June 2nd at 10:30am at Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 10301 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172.  Pythian Services will be conducted by the Supreme Lodge and South Florida lodge #195.  Brother Art will be interred in the Miami Beach Benevolent #195 Cemetery , Mt Ararat II section.  May the peace of God be with his family and friends.

Indiana

Frankton - Past Chancellor Sir Robert Nighbert, a member of Frankton Lodge #315, a life member of Al Hilal Temple, D.O.K.K. in New Castle and a member of the Golden Spur Association of Indiana passed away on Friday, July 4th following a long illness.  Our deepest symapthy goes out to to his wife Pearl and to the Ochoa and Boyer families at their loss.  Brother Bob's funeral is on Monday, July 7th at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton.  May God offer his peace to his family and friends.

New Castle - Brother Alva "Al" Veach, Jr., 82 of Greenwood passed away on Wednesday July 16th. He was born June 25th, 1926 in Knightstown and married Esta Buchanan October 1, 1954, who preceded him in death.  He is survived by 2 sons, Gary (Lois) of Union, OH and Mark of Greenwood; a daughter Esta Marie (Tom) Ott of Indianapolis, 2 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren and 2 Brothers.  Brother Al was a 63 year Pythian Veteran; a WWII Navy Veteran; plus many other organizations including a 45 year member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge.  Burial was July 26th in Knightstown's Glen Cove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Murat Shrine Circus at the Murat Shrine Temple, attn: Shellie Miller, 510 N New Jersey Av, Indianapolis, IN 46204

Grand Lodge - Grand Treasurer Lloyd Vencel's father Woodrow Vencel passed away.  Calling will be Monday, June 16th in Terre Haute at the Debaun Funeral Home, 85 E Springhill Dr.  It will be from 4 to 8 pm with the funeral on Tuesday, June 17th at 1:30 pm.  The funeral home is located approximately 1 mile south of I-70 and 1 block east of US 41.  The phone # is 812-299-5125.  Our deepest sympathy is extended to Brother Lloyd and his entire family.

Brother Yitzhak Mondroe, a member of Detroit Lodge #55 and son of Grand Chancellor Dennis Mondroe of the Domain of Michigan was fatally injured in an automobile accident over the holiday weekend.  The funeral was at 2:30 on July 6th.  Condolences may be e-mailed to: demond-55@hotmail.com or mailed to: GC Dennis Mondroe, 24261 Radclift St, Oak Park, MI 48237-1557.  Our deepest sympathy goes out to GC Dennis and his family and all of our Brothers in the Domain of Michigan for this great loss.

Past Grand Chief Mildred (Millie) Hansen of Hawthorne, Nevada passed away on May 29th.  She was born May 1st, 1911 and joined Mineral Temple #18 in Hawthorne in October of 1930.  The received the honor of Past Grand Chief through her service as Grand treasurer from 1980 thru 1985.  She was the widow of the late Arne Hansen, Past Grand Chancellor of the Domain of Nevada in 1976.  The sympathy of the Supreme Domain is extended to the family and friends of Sister Millie.

The funeral for Sir Leslie Zaransky will be in Wednesday, June 11th, at 11 am at Gutterman's Funeral Home, 175 Long Beach Road in Rockbille Centre.  Interment will folloe at Beth Moses Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY.  Shiva will be observed at the home of his son Marc Zaransky, 25 Thompson Drive, East Rockaway, NY 11518.  Our deepest condolences go out to the family of this wonderful Pythian Knight.

Sir Sol A Levin, PDSC, and a member of Genesis Lodge #64 of the Domain of New York, passed away in Florida at 12:15 pm on Saturday, July 12th according to news received from his Granddaughter Stephanie Engler.  Brother Sol will be greatly missed throughout the Supreme Domain.  He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Sara in Beth Moses  with private family services.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of the Sea in Ft Lauderdale, Florida or to Boca Friends for Cancer Research in Boca Raton, Florida.  Words of condolence may be sent to Stephanie by e-mail at hausfran@aol.com or by mail to 3851 Landings Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33496.  She requests that at this time ...no phone calls please.  Our deepest sympathy to the family & friends of this awesome Knight.
